Our Story
On January 10, 2022, we lost a beloved husband, father, coach, and friend, Larry Cinque Jr., to COVID. Larry was the kind of person who could make a complete stranger feel like family. His heart was larger than life, and his presence had a way of lighting up every room.
Larry had a lifelong passion for sports. From his early years in school through adulthood, he played football, flag football, baseball, and even semi-professional football for a short time. Sports were not just a game to him—they were a way to teach teamwork, discipline, and confidence.
One of Larry’s greatest joys was coaching youth sports, especially our daughter’s little league softball team. Watching him coach was something special. He knew how to balance being a leader, a mentor, and a friend. He truly felt honored to guide and support those girls.
The Love Like Larry Foundation was created to honor Larry’s legacy—his generosity, his love of sports, and his unwavering commitment to showing up for others. Larry always said, “I got you”, no matter the circumstances. Now, we carry those words forward by supporting the children in our community.

Scholarship Program
Each Year, The Love Like Larry Foundation awards scholarships to graduating Bay Shore High School
seniors—one football player and one softball player—who demonstrate dedication, sportsmanship, strong character, and a commitment to their team and community.
Youth Athlete Financial Assistance
We provide financial support to youth athletes who may need assistance with:
Sports registration fees.
Equipment and uniforms.
Other related athletic expenses
Our goal is simple: no child should miss the opportunity to play due to financial burdens.
Events
We host a variety of fundraisers throughout the year to raise money, bring the community together, and celebrate Larry’s legacy.
